My oldest has extremely thick, tight curly hair that is somewhat coarse, my middle child has not so thick, wavy curly hair that is more silky, and my youngest daughter is right in between, she has the super tight ringlet curls and is medium thickness, and medium coarseness. This product works great on all their hair. Like others have said, the key product here is the leave in conditioner. I apply this after washing, conditioning and towel drying. Then leave their hair to air dry. It defines their individual curls beautifully without leaving a wet product look. LOVE IT. The only thing I do not like is the detangler/next day spray. I find it mats and drys out my girls hair. I do not use it at all. His hair has texture of caucasian hair with tight curls, will this work for his hair?** A: My daughter is black and white. So she has some Caucasian loose curls and tight curls. I had no use for the spray. It smelled horrible and didn't work to get her hair combed out. The leave in I don't use either because it didn't do anything for her hair to keep the curls nice. I do use the shampoo and conditioner. They're very light on her scalp and hair but it doesn't do anything to provide moisture. So I personally won't buy them again when the shampoo and conditioner are gone. I was wanting something that was light but moisturizing on her hair and it doesn't work for my daughter. It doesn't mean that it won't work for your son. All hair types are different and respond differently to different products.
