This pen was recommended and has been great to write with. It, as the description says, is a fine ballpoint, which my experience has always been that these kinds of pens scratch paper more than they leave behind ink. I was happily surprised that this pen leaves ink every time that it touches a page, and not so much ink that it bleeds through to the next page. I was told by one person that it was overly thick--too big for there taste??? Soooo I guess if you like petite, slender pens this might not be your choice, but keep in mind its more of a medium sized pen than a fat one.
