While I only use it on my face and ears when going outside to run a bicycling errand or to shovel snow in the wintertime, I guess I'm not a heavy user. I've had in on all day even after I'm done outside and haven't washed it off until bedtime with no ill effect. I suppose if you try it, you could wash it off your skin once you come inside from your outdoor activity if it concerns you, but YMMV? **Q: Does this come unscented ?** A: Yes it is unscented **Q: The white tin one is marketed as "reef safe", is this one also "reef safe" (doesn't harm coral)?** A: This product is oxybenzone free. However, Dermatone does not claim this product is reef safe.
