Allow the ink to dry before continuing with baking or coloring. It may lighten up but there is no need to re-apply. because of this process of waiting I use colored pencils to do the shading. If you want a lighter color, be sure to go very lightly on the application. This may take practice to find the right pressure. Lastly, using an exacto-knife opens up some great detail.
