My basement is finished and I don't want to tear into the drywall. I have a main 16-port Gigabit switch near the router and I ran Ethernet cabling to each room, but only one line. If I have more than one device that needs Ethernet at a single location, I have deployed small 8-port gigabit switches. In my testing, the "gofanco HDMI Over IP Extender" worked great over a direct ethernet connection and through one single switch (with some expected audio lag). I could not get it to work through two or three switches. It would glitch every few seconds cutting the video and audio. The gofanco connected to my switches at 10/100 bit speed, so it's very frustrating that over multiple gigabit switches that it could not find enough throughput to reach the receiver on the other end with a quality signal. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super reliable! Direct connection using CAT6 *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on 13 May 2021* I had to split a signal in a classroom and the main problem I had was splitting the hdmi signal already going to the projector. I had purchase an HDMI splitter but due to the length of the HDMI going to the Projector which I believe was more than 25ft the signal was week and I was not able to use that so I remember I had already some of this gofanco sets around the campus and they worked great so I just purchase another set.What I ended up doing was purchasing 2 25ft HDMI cables one to go from the computer to the transmitter then the other from the receiver to the TV. I use a 3ft HDMI to the faceplate that is connected with probably another HDMI cable (more then 25ft long) to send the signal to the projector and to connect the reviver I used a cat6 that was already installed on the faceplate with a foot long cat6 patch cable to the receiver, then the 25ft down to the TV. I am only giving you details to show how much I pushed the limitation of the signal based on recommended lengths and I still manage to get a 1920x1080/60. I also have another receiver on campus that I connected to the network, that I use to monitor the CC system in multiple offices, I use 4 receivers for that purpose. I probably need to understand more on exactly how over the network system works but for me it was a plug and play experience using gigabit switches. Maybe the price seems a bit high but I know the results are always great.FYI.I did experiment to see what happens wen you plug two transmitters to the same network and the receivers goes nuts trying to pick a signal from either or. This company had another system that actually works with multiple transmitters over IP, I will try that one next time.Thank you, ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gofanco is designed in the USA and you can tell *by T***N on Reviewed in the United States on 25 December 2019* I bought this, and a similar product from a China brand at the same time, so that I could compare them side by side. The China product worked, but with weird menus and glitches. The product from Gofanco was flawless. Almost what you'd expect if Apple made it, minus the overslick packaging. Somewhere the Gofanco docs even said that it was designed in the USA, and you could tell. The Gofanco documentation and menus were in clear English and everything worked. Gofanco makes a really complete line of products like this one. Shows that they really understand the market. Reminds me of Anker. If Anker makes it, stop looking and buy it from them.
