One is thinner and the same width, the other which is wider and tapered at the ends can make a bigger difference to the outer eye, I find. You can also experiment with trimming the strips, using them upside down for a different lift - there are lots of videos on YouTube which can help. Its' because they've given you 2 different sizes, the single ones are the narrower one, the double ones are a pair, one for each eye. I place them, check they're in the right place and if not, peel off and reapply, can do this a few times if don't press down to begin with. They are fiddly to use (as are all eyelid tapes) but they adhere really well and blend in with your skin tone well. I wouldn't go so far as to say they are invisible but they are discreet and not particularly obvious. I like the affect of the oval shaped tapes the best but they are a nightmare to put on. It isn't a complete oval as it appears to be, but is cut in half lengthways - you won't realise this until you try and pick it up with your tweezers and realise it splits in two before you can place it on your eyelid. Shame that. If you've mastered the art of using the single strips - which is no easy feat btw - you'll need a PhD and eons of patience to get the oval ones on.
