I've seen some reviews say their snare sounded better with this head....To me? ....This head allows marching snares to be loud and not echo as much....the sound is crisp and not hollow....It will give you the "cha-cha-cha" sound....be sure to tune your drum to a D and make sure your snare wires are touching the bottom head and you will get the sound you're looking for. Most drummers don't know how to tune their snare drum.....go to youtube to learn how. This head is excellent on a marching snare- FFX Pearl. It lasts forever!!!! It's built great! It can take a licking and keep on ticking!! For the price- you can't beat the quality and durability of a Remo.
