Set a simple timer for 6-8 minutes of percolation time, or about 16-18 total minutes from the time you apply heat. For coffee? I like Maxwell House Columbian. Tried many other brands, and "high end" designer / coffee snob beans. I keep coming back to Maxwell House Columbian.
