It feels great without because oily. It penetrates the eye area but also stays on as a moisture barrier so your eyes feel and look dewy. In the morning, eyes feel and look moisturized. You don't need much. I ran out of this product and used an "in between" product and noticed the difference the first day. I Have gotten comments on my skin and what I use on my eyes.
