Review: From reading the biography of the author, the title of the book was understandable. However, I was not prepared for the depth and meaning of the title from the ‘memoir’ aspect. Do Parallel Universes exist? How would this accomplished Astronomer present a theory of how parallel universes might coexist in time and space, and how might they be presented in terms understandable by a layperson? These were questions I had as I commenced reading this book. However, the scientific nature of the book gave way to an exploration of the existence of parallel universes as created by the mind. Some reviewers complain about the writing style, arrangement, and tempo of this extraordinary work. To this reviewer, such complaints would be warranted if the author were writing fiction. However, this author is writing about her experiences and, in so doing, reliving them yet again. The author dredges from her subconscious some of the most horrific, gut wrenching, inhumane, and demonic experiences imaginable. In-so-doing, her writing style precisely fits the emotional and mental state of one who has undergone such indescribable horrors. In what other way could this story, her story, have been told? Psychologically, the author puts words to paper in the exact manner her psyche formatted them for her. Her emotional existence required her to split universes and thus, split her existence. Hence, this book of her memoir is split, compartmentalized, and factionalized as well. It’s an honest and truthful representation of her mental processes. Most people who have survived such unspeakable horrors have split themselves into two or more consciousnesses. Such divides are more commonly known as split personalities or multiple personality disorders. In this case, in order for her to survive at all, this author’s psyche split her universe in two. At the age of 2 years old, Linda visited the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars of Heaven. Growing into an exceptionally intellectual woman, she was drawn to study the Sun, the Moon and the Stars of the Universe. But there was another universe paralleling her own. It was a universe containing a beautiful 2 year old girl. Linda Morabito Meyer liberatingly relates how she traveled to the Edges of Space and Time as her two parallel universes collided and collapsed back into each-other. As her universes rejoined, this accomplished woman was reunited with the beautiful 2 year old girl who she still was; the beautiful 2 year old girl who still existed in a parallel universe, the one who was relegated into that parallel universe in order that they could both survive. Once the fragments of her existence were rejoined and the horrific totality of her trauma revealed, there was only one possible explanation for her survival and subsequent achievements - God. Her miraculous emotional and physical survival could be attributed to nothing less. Navigating the labyrinth that was her life would be humanly impossible without Divine intervention. I could not put this book down.
Review: Brilliant

The author is obviously extremely intelligent, however, she is not a skilled writer. She has a story that is aching to be told but the constant change of time and place within even small sections of the same chapter makes the story confusing and difficult to follow. This lack of continuity meant that I could not engage with the book and so found concentration very difficult. I persevered but reluctantly gave up two thirds of the way through. The story deserved and would have been clearer had the author used the services of an accomplished editor or ghost writer.
