My own fault for not reading closely enough but these aren't pitted. Probably the best quality you can buy otherwise but you'll pay for it. Very expensive.

Good to eat when you want something little sweet and healthy!

I have purchased this product at Whole Foods and the vacuum seal on the lid is tight. The first jar I opened had the plastic collar around the lid indicating that it had been sealed. However, when I went to open the jar, it came off in my hand. I don't want to eat the fruit from a jar that has been so poorly sealed or sealed and reopened.

The prunes are fine even with the pits. They come out easily. I've had them without pits, too, and these are just as good.
