The pictures Roseward provided on Amazon are wholly accurate. The seller also provided an excellent page of care instructions, with contact information in case of any problem. As I always do with any garment, I washed the mask to make sure the fabric is clean before wearing it. The lack of of any residue or dust in the washing bowl leads me to suspect that the maker washed it after sewing the silk fabric and attaching ear loops, though I cannot know this. The navy blue color did not run at all. I did try the mask on first, though, so I know it will be comfortable to wear: breathable, cool in summer, warm in winter, and so light weight -- just a whisper on the skin. Perfect. As soon as I figure out filters (the space for insertion is smaller than I expected, and filters seem to be rather thick), I will order a couple more of these. Immediate delivery of a lovely mask: nothing could be improved upon.
