The lights can be used with the spikes and inserted into the ground, or can be used without and be wall mounted. The lights do not come with a plug, they will need wiring to your home electrics, so you may need additional wire, a transformer and a bit of knowledge. It is relatively straight forward and the instructions are clear. The lights do come with the wire connectors that will make the circuit waterproof. They are of a very good quality so it is worth the effort and I am really happy with them.

**Q: can these just be set for a colour of my choice and stay on that colour consyantly with no flashing or fading or changing colour?**
A: Hello, You can set the light to monochrome, so that your light will remain monochrome and will not change its color

**Q: What is the cable length from the mains socket to the first light, and also what is the lenghth pf cable from one light to the next (or total length)?**
A: The cables on these are short about 6 inches. These are designed to be used with a 12volt transformer, such as Techmar, and 12 volt cable. DO NOT Wire these directly to a 240volt supply. Saying that these are good bright lights when wired correctly. I've had no issues  with them.

**Q: how long is the cable overhaul**
A: short about 300mm

**Q: hi will these work on a 12vdc solar power supply**
A: Sorry I have a 240v transformer on mine

The lights are well made and very bright. The casing and the spikes are made of metal and are very durable. The lights can be used with the spikes and inserted into the ground, or can be used without and be wall mounted. The lights do not come with a plug, they will need wiring to your home electrics, so you may need additional wire, a transformer and a bit of knowledge. It is relatively straight forward and the instructions are clear. The lights do come with the wire connectors that will make the circuit waterproof. They are of a very good quality so it is worth the effort and I am really happy with them.
