I feel that I do not have as oily of skin/hair anymore, which is just so, so refreshing - if I go more than two days without using it, I can tell. It is definitely not a product for every day use - I think even use once or twice a week would be sufficient for most people that want to try it. This stuff dries you UP. A word of warning: it smells like sulfur/tar. The smell does not linger, but that is why I follow it up with my normal facewash.
