We rinsed ours to help get rid of the smell and haven’t had a single issue with staining. Elastic bands in the back seem a bit flimsy but those are pretty easy to replace if they go bad and not really an issue at this price point IMO Only thing I would note is that the sizing runs VERY small. I wear a size medium t-shirt and the X-large apron fits me like it was tailored.
