It is well made and just works flawlessly. The buttons are good size and click when you press them so you know it registered. It is a tad heavy but that is because it is very well built. I like the idea of the removable sd card so you can record till you battery dies. First use I did a 9 hour shift with the camera set at maximum settings and it never died. The greatest thing about this cam is it comes with a real, color illustrated instruction manual that you can read without that 10 power magnifying glass. If you've used the cheaper toys then you know what I mean. If your real SO's or LEO's then this is the brand you should buy. Leave the toy's for the boy's. For the people that can't tell the XL model from the standard model, if you have a removable sd card then you have the XL model. Only thing I wish it had was the motion detect, but it's a good trade off for the extra recording time. And the laser pointer was an unexpected bonus. You pay for what you get and the simple fact that the amount of battery charge lasts a lot longer than most of the ones that I have researched. The video is excellent Crystal Clear especially during the night. The night vision option is excellent. This product has saved me in a situation where the person lied and because of this camera the officer was able to hear and see the truth and the person that lied was arrested. I for see in the future that this is what we're up against carrying these things on their person because people lie when there's a threat especially when it means to use deadly force. This is a perfect product to protect your rights when it comes time to go to court. I highly recommend this product especially the XL version. As an FYI you must get the consent of the perpetrator to make them aware that they are on audio depending on the state that you reside in.
