Heated floors, custom shower, you name it and it is probably in there. So I asked for an hard wired heated towel rack. My contractor advised against it because he thought it was a fire hazard, but perhaps a wall mounted plug in one would suit my needs. I searched for a while before deciding on this one. I chose it because it was plug in, wall mounted, heated and had a timer. Plus I loved the shape of it. Well I have had it about three mounts and I find it takes a VERY LONG TIME to heat a towel. The timer is very hard to work and it only heats up to 80 degrees. Not sure if that is Fahrenheit or Celsius because the instruction sheet tells you very little. That all being said, I love the look of it and as a regular towel rack it really looks nice. So, it depends on what you want: the look or the functionality! This is mounted so going to be a royal pain to resolve (remove and replace). So damn tired of trying to buy a quality product for higher price and getting what seems to be the same poor construction as cheaper choices. Less than a year of use by one person in a two-person household.
