My flange is below the floor about 1/4” and so I decided to grab a jumbo thick one to compensate the gap. Got same day shipping and cleaned up everything before it arrived. Once it did I simply set the ring over the flange and picked the toiled up, lined the flange bolts to the base of the toilet, and set it down. Watched it sink slowly until it was flush with the floor then I sat on it and moved my weight in circles a bit. Gave it a flush and noticed no bubbling or gurgling. Perfect flush. Been two weeks now and I have smelled not one thing, even getting down to smell at the toilet base after a flush to try to disperse the gases. No leaking.
