Looks like a screw-head on one end...but doesn't act like a screw. Help, please. Thanks!** A: It is Easy-Peasy to open. You can use a dime to unscrew and open it. I get the 200 meter refills of Glide Pro-Health Part # 325-2148, through my dentist. It is the floss Dental Hygienist's use on patients. It is stronger than drug store Glide floss, which breaks in my mouth because I have tight teeth. Two spools of 200 meter refills ( one box) costs under $20.00 through my dentist. That can last me about 18 months before I have buy it again. **Q: does this work with the gorilla floss spool?** A: We have never tried it, nor are we familiar with Gorilla Floss. I always buy dental floss in the big 200 yard rolls. The smaller sizes just get used up too fast. When my last roll ran out, I went online and looked for the best deal I could find, which was from a dental supply house. But the Reach brand floss rolls arrived without the usual plastic containers one finds at the drug store. The cardboard box was marked "refill." So I went back to a dental supply house to purchase this, inexpensive "professional" floss dispenser, which looks like it might last a long time. My recent purchase of 6 floss refill rolls cost about $30 including shipping, which amounted to $5.00 per roll. So, I saved at least $3.50 per roll over the Walmart price of $8.50 each, resulting in a savings of $21 on this order. Subtract about $8.00 for the dispenser, and my net savings was about $13.00. However, this device appears quite sturdy, and it dispenses floss from the side, which seems smoother and more reliable than the usual top-dispensing throw-away dispensers that always seem to jam from time to time.
