They are multiple stage units with built in power saving mode to extend the life of your batteries. The 24V 20AMP unit has small screw on terminals and the 24V 30AMP unit has the larger bolt lugs. The unit has multiple preprogrammed charging profiles for different battery types, and one custom charging profile if you want to set up your own bulk, absorption, and float voltages. It can be used as both a charger or a standalone power supply. It is light, quiet, and easy to install. I highly recommend this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ easily programmable for different battery types and/or charge profiles *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2020* I installed this charger on a 31' cruising power boat, with conventional flooded lead/acid batteries, split into two banks: start & house. It works very well, can handle house 12V loads while plugged in and keeping the house bank up. ... It was easy to install, although directions would have been nice. Removing the ends to get to the screw holes was interesting. No screws are included for installation.Lastly, it would be nice to view the batteries charge state when you are not connected to shore power. This unit only gives you a read out when connected to shore power.
