Since we couldn't move the supports in, we rested the section right after the end of the rod (before the bulb of the twisted part) into the support, giving the center joint enough support. Still looked great and no remounting necessary. Oh, keep in mind how much the end will extend when ordering these. We planned to use them in our bedroom, but since our window is close to a corner, the wall perpendicular to the window prevented these from sitting right.
