Review: A big let down - I got the loader and the truck, the truck is like our classic one, almost all metal and really robust, the loader, not only the bucket is in plastic but so is the mechanism that allow to move it, you can't load it with sand as it always get too weak, also, it does not raise high enough and bucket does not inclune enough to be able to dump the sand in the truck. We still have my loader tonka from when I was a kid at my parents cottage and it still work as it should.
Review: The loading scoop is unfortunately to wide. - The scoop does not “fit” the trucks loading area, it would have been nice if all the machines could have worked together.

**Q: why did they stop making it with a metal scoop?  the plastic sucks!**
A: It was a cost cutting move.

A: Hi there, that is a very good question.  Amazon now offers "Frustration Free Packaging" which is Amazon Certified and is recyclable and comes without excess packaging materials.  The packaging comes with the Tonka branding on the front and is great for wrapping, gift giving, opening easily and whether you want to discard or keep, it is durable yet recyclable. **Q: are tires rubber or plastic**
A: Plastic. Overall well made. Kids had them in the 79s and tires where plastic. Basically the same after 50 years.

**Q: what scale is it**
A: 8.25 x 21.5 x 9.5 inches (21 x 54.6 x 24.1 cm. I will post another picture with the scale height and width.
