System?** A: Removes chlorine , order and bad taste in the water down to 1 micron. Can't imagine this not being enough for what other chemical your looking for. Also I use a pre filter ahead of this filter also and works fine. **Q: There is a black piece of material inside the filter, it clogs and shifts under oresdure. Am I supposed to move it** A: Yes. Nothing should be in the intake core to the filter. You may have curled up the label wrap and stuck it inside to save the information. Take it out. It will block the water flow. **Q: will this work on a Rainsoft RO system?** A: Yes if the housing is standard **Q: Can this be used in a whole house water filtering system that is not reverse osmosis?** A: Yes, this filter can be used for a whole house. It is being used being used as a whole house filter for our house presently. The cartridges last 6 months minimum.
