They’re worthless here in south Florida. **Q: Are the rod holders rod holders removable?** A: Yes **Q: i would like to install my own fly rod holder on the longer side of the cooler. What screws are recommended for this surface for a tight fit?** A: Well I didn't have to add additional rod holders the 4 was sufficient enough; however, If Iwas to add additional i would look at the screws that came with your rod holder and would probably get some a little bit longer to insure your clearing the thickness of the cooler and the Styrofoam thats inside the cooler. I would say there's probably 1 inch to 1 inch 1/2 of Styrofoam inside. Very practical. Altamente recomendable, tengo 6 hieleras de diferentes tamaños y tipos, de todas, esta es la que más uso , por ser ligera, práctica, y alta mente portable. Este tamaño, de 19 qt, es la más conveniente. La llevas a todos lados sin ocupar mucho espacio, sirve de lonchera tambien.
