He has a phone but not a Samsung or Iphone so I needed a VR headset that would work with multiple cell phones and I came across this one. I read positive reviews, and some not so positive but I figured, for the price, let me give it a try. It was a hit! The entire family has used it and we like it too. It's comfortable and nicely adjust to fit any head, even my 6 y.o can use it. I'm sure there are better ones out there but you'd have to be plugged into a computer or spend over $300. So for the price, I find this to be a perfect VR headset, especially for a first time user who is not picky. :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good unit, but may not focus for everyone *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on August 29, 2016* This unit does the job, and is certainly a step up from "cardboard." The principle shortcoming is focus:1) I have good eyes but found I had to extend the unit to its limits to obtain good focus. I have an iPhone SE with a plastic cover which may aggravate the issue, and I have my doubts if the phone would work with an Otter-like enclosure. There needs to be a couple more turns of outward travel to be "universal."2) I have two friends that have "monovision," an optical technique for wearers of contact lenses or cataract implants that fools the brain into thinking that both eyes have both near and far vision. The strategy works well, is widespread, and is not going away -- and ruins 3D by placing the focus of each eye at a different distance. These people cannot enjoy 3D movies very well in a theater or on TV without a special contact lens. However, single lens compensation allows them to use better binoculars without a problem. A similar addition to VRidium--an adjustable eyepiece on one side (doesn't matter which) that either changes the distance of the lens to the eye and/or focal length several diopters in both directions--would likely solve the problem, open a new market, and justify VRidium's higher price.
