My (medium size) gloves are 15" long, measured on the back side. A little shorter measured on the front side. **Q: Are these totally thorn-proof? My current pair (different brand) pricks me if the thorn hits directly/at the right angle. Ouch!** A: The palm side is very robust and should offer 95% protection - I haven't experimented with a thorn head on though. The upper part (knuckles) is much thinner and is definitely not thorn proof. **Q: Are these Latex-free?** A: they are very heavy sturdy gloves no latex as far as I could tell use them almost daily. Have nylon, spandex, polyester and polyurethane as material on label. **Q: Are these gloves available in a womens "small" size?** A: I think they only come in women's medium. Couple of inches more than standard gauntlet gloves. I wore them with a short sleeve T and they provided all the protection I needed. Granted, my roses are not 6 feet across.* True to size, at least in my size, extra large, men's. Expect snug.* Fully flexible, right out of the box.* Leading fingertips have extra, sewn on, protection.* Really protective. Trimmed freak snow storm damage from a dozen very prickly rose bushes, requiring a lot of 'interior' work. Not one snag, not one puncture!* Might be a little hot for some people and some applications but I wore them for an hour in 70 degrees (shaded) and was fine. No water retention.Can't imagine any glove doing a better job for what I needed, periodically pruning small to medium rose bushes. They fit perfectly, and they are pretty much thorn proof. The material is thin, light weight, and very comfortable. I tried gripping a rose stem with very nasty thorns, and none of them puncture the gloves. The spandex material on the back is another story, but you are not grabbing stems with the back of your hands, and those areas are small for ventilation and flexibility. The gauntlets are even tougher. I usually end up with my arms all torn up and that will not happen with these.
