The plastic pieces fit perfectly and once assembled it is even more beautiful than in pictures. The assembly is suggested to be done in three major steps - some pieces for the base, some for the middle portion and some for the final top portion. The base and middle are easiest and the top portion does require some precision and dexterity. The entire puzzle took a leisurely two hours for an adult and a child working together. This is a very fun toy that also encourages kids to learn about the Big Ben in London.
