The scored handles prevent the tools from slipping in your hands and make it easier to control the pressure and angle, and the tools are well made and sturdy- they keep their shape perfectly.. This is a really great value- the tools are good quality and I have seen an improvement in my skin. The case is a great addition because it makes it easy to keep the tools clean and to transport them. A pointy tip of the tweezers is tiny and sharp enough to function as a lance; in fact I find the tool better for this purpose than for tweezing regular eyebrow hairs due to the small surface area- have not had any ingrowns on which to test the tool but I think it should work well. Note!!!! This works best if you steam your face or at least apply a hot compress beforehand to open up the pores, making the job easier and reducing the pressure needed as well as minimizing damage. Afterwards, I'd recommend applying toner and rinsing with cold water to close pores back up, followed by moisturizer and any other gentle products you prefer.I'd definitely recommend these to anyone who even occasionally has blackheads or ingrown hairs and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Nice design but not effective *by A***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 24, 2018* The product itself it nice. The metal is strong, seems durable, easy to clean, and I like that it came in a metal case. I had such high hopes for it work great. However, it works poorly on my skin. My face is covered with blackheads and whiteheads which are large and easily noticed so I figured this tool set would be the perfect solution. It does help get a lot more stuff out of my skin the all the other products I've tried out so far but I still have a lot that doesn't want to come out, at least without force. However, using either extractor tool does not get out these issues easily, plus, for me, it was more painful trying to use these tools than using a pore strip or charcoal face mask. The metal seems a bit rough and it also made my face very red. I read all the tips, advice, and watched videos on how to successfully use this product before I tried using it and still didn't get the same great results everyone else seems to be sharing. I still think it is a great product, it just doesn't work as great as I hoped. I doubt I'll have to purchase again for a very long time!First I would like to say that my skin is relatively clear, although I do have an issue with blackheads on my nose and chin. So I thought this might just do the trick to take care of those perpetual pesky blackheads. I used this product right after a hot shower when my pores were more opened and it works beautifully. I have a lot of little whiteheads in the crease of my chin and nothing has ever been able to get rid of them. I've used all kinds of scrubs, strips, and toners, but nothing has worked as well as the little sharp edged tool.Do be careful and don't get carried away, you could potentially damage your skin and make your pore problem worse. This product is ideal for a particular stubborn blackhead, not as an all over facial treatment. The little tweezers are very sharp and if you aren't careful, you can actually harm your skin. But when used properly, it works great.The reason I am giving 4 stars is because it is a little difficult to use in the mirror yourself. You cannot get close enough to see what you're doing without the tool hitting the mirror, which is a little annoying.
