Review: Great modern stovetop. - Bought one in late 1/2024 after the one I purchased several years earlier stopped working. I use this stove top almost daily for almost everything. Tonight I made Lamb chops and they came out perfect. I also have a small pied a terre oven that I rarely use because this cooktop works so well for me. This one cooks on low to 400F I usually use 175 to 225. If I get busy doing something else it automatically turns off. I have a nice ceramic cook set and all the pieces work well on this stove and after using these for months on this Nuwave the pots and pans still look like new even on the bottoms. I actually like my pied a terre kitchen more than the large kitchen in my home. It gives me more control and I get great results virtually every time. I’m planning to buy one of another of these with the built in sensor during th sale. I have 7 and 8 yr old granddaughters who help me some in my kitchen and I don’t need to worry constantly that they will burn themselves because this only heats up when a pan is on the element and it covers the burner. I just need to be careful that the heated food doesn’t cause burns. Their NYC apt has a gas stove which can be a fire hazard. I’ve seen the induction units that can work anywhere under kitchen counters and would like to see this company produce one of these.
Review: Truly precise, controlled efficient cooking - Brilliantly precise. Efficient. Easy to understand and operate. Using a good induction cooker, such as Nuwave, reduces electricity consumption. I've proved it. Instead of waiting >5 minutes it takes most standard electric stove tops to reach desired heat, the induction cooker generates the heat desired immediately, then it turns off immediately. Unplugging anything reduces phantom electrical draws. Initially, with my first induction cooker, a Mueller RapidTherm, which I bought from desertcart in November 2023, I struggled with which cookware was inductive (magnetic). My aluminum, copper and stainless steel cookware were useless on an inductive cooktop. So I bought a no-name brand single electric cooktop from desertcart to use as a second cooker for any pot I wanted to use. Problem is, the electric cooker takes a little while to attain the desired temperature, but I could unplug it. After two years, I've decided to go with induction and a single LP stove top with the electric cooker stored nearby. I had (I tried my new Becigar induction cookware on my new Nuwave and the results were simply superb. This is my second induction plug-in. I replaced my Mueller induction cooker, because I could control the heat so that everything boiled and on the lowest setting it simmeted. Not sure what's wrong, but it showed signs indicating shortages. I was replacing my traditional stove, a white enameled metal GE electric 4-eye stove that after about 8 years after purchase, rusted and failed. Everything metal rust in my house. I pulled and tossed the stove, reworked the wiring to account for removing the traditional stove and installing a 20 amp/120 volt outlet (not recommended for DIYers) for my plug in cookers. My goal is energy cost reduction with less costly, no fuss alternatives.

## Features

- SUPERIOR TECHNOLOGY - The slim design of Flex and its patented insulation technology brings the induction heating coils closer to your cookware than the competition for faster & even heating, ensuring no hot or cold spots for optimal cooking experience.
- SAFETY BUILT-IN – Even if you forget, Flex will shut off automatically when the set cook time is completed. When the cookware is removed from the cooktop, Flex will not start. There are no hot coils or open flames reducing the risk of burns and fire.
- PERFECT FOR DORMS & RV’S – Flex is light-weight and portable. It performs flawlessly in RV’s, dorms, campsites, and smaller apartments. Its 3 wattage settings of 600, 900 & 1400 watts are designed to work well anywhere even when the power is limited.

- INDUCTION READY COOKWARE NEEDED – Two simple ways to check if your existing cookware or future cookware are designed for use with the Flex: Induction symbol printed on the bottom of the cookware. A magnet is typically a great indicator. If it sticks to the bottom of the cookware, this typically means the pot or pan is induction ready.
- HELPING YOU LIVE WELL FOR LESS SINCE 1993 – At Nuwave, we are driven by the pursuit of providing safe, affordable, and environmentally friendly products with the latest technology that will improve your quality of life.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How loud is the fan? Compare to an oven fan maybe?**
A: It's a little loud but u just turn the TV up a little more when it's running....but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this product!!! It works fast and very effective.

**Q: What is the difference between pic2, pic gold, and pic flex? I am a little confused of which one I should get?**
A: I found this online: The strongest one is PIC Titanium with 1800 watts. Gold is 1500 and Flex is 1300.

**Q: will it heat a steel can inside a glass jar with the glass jar on the cooktop?**
A: First, don't do this. If it works, the can will get hot and it will transfer that heat to the glass. You'll probably shatter the jar by having it get very hot in a small area while remaining cool everywhere else. That being said, induction cookers work by generating a magnetic field with causes magnetic metal to heat up. If the can is close enough to the cooktop, it will heat up even while inside the glass jar.

**Q: why does it say not to place on a gas range?**
A: Gas ranges have metal surfaces, the cooktop cannot be placed on any magnetic metal surface. It's explained in the instructions.
