The product fit as expected and there was no defect. The pattern just didnt appeal to me in person like I thought it would. I submitted a return request and the company went above and beyond to exchange the boots for a pair that I am happy with. The boots fit true to size and are a good fit around my calf. I am petite but have muscular legs and these fit well. I wear a size 8 in normal shoes and that's the size I ordered. They are loose enough that I can wear thick socks but not so loose that I have to. Recommend ordering from this company. Even if you arent satisfied, they will go way above and beyond to ensure you are a satisfied customer. I do suggest that you wear thick socks under them, since they are a little large and since they are made of rubber, they will make your feet sweat more than usual. I wouldn't want to wear them more than a couple of hours at a time because of this. And Wow, I ordered an 8 which could fit a person that wears a size 10. Plus the entire boot is huge & just not well made. Sorry to pick on this boot, but it also smelled of cheap material.
