Review: I dont ever write reviews but when I say this stuff is amazing it is 100 times better then that. We bought a house with a beautiful fire place but the previous home owner was a chain smoker. This stuff got all the tar and cigarette smell out of the bricks and made it look brand new! The gallon only lasted about half the fireplace in total but our fireplace is massive and is in the middle of the house with 4 sides. Plus we were very generous applying the solution to the bricks. I highly recommend and will be purchasing more gallons.

So full disclosure, I’m going to whitewash the fireplace tomorrow so I didn’t scrub super hard. I left this on just enough to put the cleaner on with the brush over the full fireplace and then I started at the beginning to wipe it off. I found a sponge was easier to wipe it off. And I also put down the plastic tarp that came with the whitewash kit. And I was glad since the brush sort of sprays it everywhere. Our fireplace hasn’t been used in years and it was the headboard for the bed in that room when we bought the house a year ago. This was the family room in the 70’s. No clue when that room was converted to the main suite. Basically I’m not sure when it was cleaned last but it didn’t seem super dirty. Where you see how well this product works is right above the boarded up hearth. Again, I barely scrubbed and it was left on there for maybe 15 minutes. Based upon just that part, I’d say, it’s a quick and easy product to use with amazing results.
