This adapter cord, C05065RY, is made specifically for the *Diogen branded* 20 gauge commercial Full Wave Rectified LED coaxial light strings. The adapter cord itself is not rectified because the light strings themselves are rectified. Therefore, it is considered an adapter for use with Rectified light strings (these strings have a "bubble" along the cord). If you have the older, non-rectified Diogen commercial LED light strings, then you need the C05002 adapter which has the rectangular box on it (discontinued item, but some new stock is still available in the supply chain). These older strings do not have a "bubble." This is a plug for commercial grade lights with a coaxial connection. **Q: does this fit wintergreen 1/2" led rope lighting?** A: I really don't know. I order it this to replace the lights on a Christmas tree but what I was sent did not even look like this and didn't work.
