I fill the tray to just short of the top and put it in a flat spot in the freezer. I also put the open side down in the glass. I dump the tray in with my ice maker bin and they stay nice for quite some time. Then fill up the tray again and that way I always have back up if needed. **Q: Are these microwave safe.** A: I guess, the trays are silicone material. The ice pops out easily.. **Q: How does this work? The sphere molds don’t hold together so they all bleed together and it creates a big rectangle with spheres inside?** A: Unfortunately that’s what you’ll continue to get with these molds. Definitely the biggest complaint I have about them.
