It does not absorb water, stick to the bottom of tub nor look or feel fancy. It does however, allow me sit without pain, move freely without slipping(though it does move because it floats without weight on it). It air dried just fine, I use bath salts and other products so wiping it with a cloth is a good idea to keep it clean It is lightweight and sturdy. It is very comfortable to sit on if you have a sensitive tailbone when sitting on hard surfaces including the side of a bathtub.I use this in my sauna. I can sit on cedar, a towel or I can sit on this nice mat on top of a towel. It’s ergonomic and comfortable for long sessions (30-60m). It’s easy to clean and comfortable I’ve been using this for about 3 weeks and have no complaints. It’s easy to clean, dries quickly and is order free out of the package. I would definitely consider using this for a bath if I had movement restrictions. I remember breaking my leg and having to sit on a hard plastic chair in the shower. It was not nice and far from comfortable. I wish I knew about this back then.
