This kit is a great value for the price and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to work with network cables. ### ⭐ Does not work as intended! *by T***S on 20 July 2023* I bought this because I wanted to have one that trim off cable ends in pass-through connectors. I was very disappointed when I tried my first connector. The blade that cuts off the leads does not sit flush to the front of the connector resulting that there is 0.5-1mm cabe sticking out. This make it so that the plug touch the end of the female RJ45 connector and the clip does not really snap. Another thing is that the blade that trim off the leads goes 1mm into the plastic edge right beneath where the leads go out from the connector. This make a piece of plastic bend out from the connector which just makes the above mentioned problem worse. A third problem is that the strip blade goes too far into the cable, damaging the leads. I have made hundreds of crimps with my old Knipex brand crimper, that never failed unless I screwed up and accidentally put the leads in the wrong position. When I did my first crimp with this one, it did not work. I checked with a cable tester and lead #3 was not connected properly. I re-crimped with my old one and it worked immediatley first time, like usual. I rather keep the old one and trim off the leads with a fine electronics wire cutter.
