This adapter does not have any of those issues. I have a 250HDD Xbox 360 S which I run HDMI to a projector 20 feet away. The Xbox itself is down under the screen near a stereo that I wanted to run the audio to. This cable was perfect to allow me to connect the audio to the stereo with analog red and white RCA to the stereo's RCA input. There was absolutely no hassle for this adapter. I just plugged everything in, turned on the Xbox, and it was working perfectly. The price is considerably more than the other knock offs but it won't break the bank and it will work like a charm. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Does what it's supposed to do, but... *by D***Y on April 12, 2012* But it's not perfect. It does successfully provide both RCA and digital optical audio to use in conjunction with the Xbox 360's HDMI output, but as others have noted, it does indeed cause the Xbox 360 to reset if you turn your TV or monitor on and off or switch the input from another source back to the Xbox. While a lot of people won't be bothered by this, it's a flaw I would say isn't worth paying $20 for. You're better off either paying more for the Microsoft connector which is guaranteed not to have this flaw, or getting a much cheaper version that works just as well as the Mad Catz. It's also worth noting that with the Mad Catz connector, you cannot jump the connectors like you can with the cheaper versions. I opened this up to see if I could fix the resetting problem by soldering some of the connectors, but this version simply doesn't have the metal tabs to solder, it only has them for the wires that are already in place, which actually makes the flaw MORE problematic than with the cheaper versions. The only reason to get this version is if you don't intend to switch TV or monitor inputs while using it, and if you want to get the slightly higher-quality plastic and connectors (for $14-$18 more!). I ended up getting a cheaper version so that I could fix the resetting problem (which I successfully did in about 10 minutes and only had to pay the price of taping the casing back together) and unfortunately wasted the money on this one. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ No issues with new XBOX *by B***O on November 27, 2012* I bought this because I wanted to continue using my Skullcandy SGS headset but because I am running an HDMI cable to the TV it was impossible, so after reading an online forum that stated this worked great I decided to order it. It took a minute to install, I have been using it a few hours now and no issues. I did not have to do any adjustments to the settings and I did not have the issue with the HDMI cable and this adapter being too tight like others have mentioned. Overall the sound quality is great, and I didnt have to turn up the volume or anything. Overall I am very impressed at how easy this was to install.
