I had a little bit of water get into my ear but nothing that was bothersome. So no they may not be totally waterproof, however they were 99.9% effective. The ear plugs are basic regular size. my finding they are not better than regular ear plugs. My opinion is they simply are not worth the asking price. Just my opinion.
