## Questions & Answers

**Q: After a couple of years of use the lock opens only 10% of the time, even though it says unlocked and the latches sound, any way to make maintenance ?**
A: This is common.  I've had this happen twice for one of my locks.  Luckily I use it only for the garage.  It's the Latch mechanism that gets worn / broken.  They've since updated the latch with some plastic... not sure if that will help, but time will tell...  You can claim warranty and they will send you another one if it's accessibly enough for you to dismantle it.

**Q: is it ios(apple) compatible?**
A: yes - there is an APPLE IOS app for this lock

**Q: Is this the 1st or 2nd generation of ul3 bt?**
A: I believe this is the 1st generation for bluetooth but 2nd generation for the lock.

**Q: will this lock work on a 2-1/4" door**
A: Yes, for Thicker Doors Between 2" to 2-3/4", please order the Ultraloq Thick Door Kit in the below link.

This is a good lock, very easy to install and set up. Worked great for about 7 months, then suddenly no power to the lock. Checked batteries and connections then contacted customer support. We tried a few things to resolve the issue with no luck. They promptly sent out a new replacement lock and actually contacted me to check on the status. Installed the new lock and it’s been working perfectly ever since. It’s good to know this company will stand behind the products they sell and work with you to resolve any issues. Thank you!

There are a couple of things that could maybe be a little better in this model, which we've had on our front door for 2 years, but I imagine the newer models address them and I knew it was an early design when I bought it. But I love this lock. It's more an Internet integrated entry system than just a lock. I've not used a house key in years, but with this I also don' t need to type in a code or carry a transponder. Great product. And great customer service recently when we needed it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ UPDATED - Errors! Not worth the time or money!!

UPDATED - The company reached out to me and sent me a replacement. The new one has now been installed for 2 months with no issues. It works great for my business and allows me to give access to my daycare clients. I am impressed with the customer service and the support they gave me.*****>*****>*****I have had this now for a little over a month and it is super frustrating. I set it up, put my daycare parents information into the app so they could enter my home. For about a week all was fine. Than I got an error message when I went to look at the log or add more users. Sent in a trouble ticket and their suggestion was I had to delete and reinstall. Ok…so I start over and spent the time to input all my clients. A week later it had the same error! Did the same process!Now this morning it will not let me enter a new client and I get that same error message!!Save yourself the hassle and buy a different door handle this one is not worth the money or time!
