So if your downlight needed a 72mm hole then that will be the size of the hole in the bezel you'll need - if that makes sense **Q: Inside hole 27mm outside diameter 50mm** A: Inside hole is 72 mm. the outer diameter is 112mm, the plastic rim is 24mm on the ones I purchased **Q: is this IP rated? can it be used in bathroom ?** A: It’s basically a large flat washer that has no effect of the ip rating of the actual downlight. **Q: Are these strong enough to help hold a 1.5kg ceiling light (if added on top of the bulb ring, which itself is too small)?** A: The item is a decorative bezel & is not intended to bear the weight of a light fitting. Value for money, not so much. *by A***R on 22 November 2023* Having fitted 6 of these, I'll endorse the sentiments of other reviewers. There's nothing special here, they are simply thick(~4mm) rings of white PVC plastic, making them imho expensive for what they are. I appreciate that there are shipping costs to consider but selling them singularly at over £3 seems a little like milking it to me. Offering multi-packs would be more reasonable. However, if you need to fit a smaller downlight into a larger existing cutout, this is an easier and less expensive method than plaster repair and the overall effect isn't untidy.
