Review: Much better than candle wax - Really impressed with this wax seal. It is so much better and more professional than using candle wax. We used it to seal the letters from Santa with a North Pole seal stamp and it did not go unnoticed by the kids when they opened their Santa cards on Christmas morning. The proper sealing wax melts smoothly, sets cleanly, and gives a crisp clear imprint without cracking or flaking. Candle wax can be messy and brittle but this feels sturdy and high quality with a lovely glossy finish.

I was scared of overheating it but next time I will wait longer. I was expecting a few minutes for the 3 beads I added but 10 may have been better. The colours blend beautifully and you can create many different effects with the beads. The gold and silver markers also worked perfectly and were easy to use. There was some black residue on the underside of the spoon (are pic) which did wash off, although I couldn’t get the remainder of the plastic/wax from the inside of the spoon. I guess I will have to melt it off! It’s all a bit small small and fiddly - I had intended to have my 7 year old do it but ended up doing it myself as he watched. Be careful with kids, supervision would be needed. Overall a great product and I would recommend it to others. Just note that there are no blues (something I had not noticed when buying) but it is as per the picture.

**Q: Are these genuine wax or are they mixed with plastic. Some on jere have plastic mixed in the wax and it smells terrible.**
A: i haven't experienced any smell when melting

A: I've only used it a couple of times but no smell, i would say 100% wax.. but don't know for sure

**Q: What pattern is the stamp?**
A: There is no stamp in this kit only the wax pellets and the spoon and heater to melt them. You need to buy the stamp separately.

**Q: How to get the rest of the wax out of the spoon?**
A: Whether your wax seal spoon is still warm from your project or it has hardened completely, you need to get it warm and melted again. Hold the spoon over the flame of the candle, being careful not to hold the spoon in the flame. This will leave a sooty deposit on the underside of the spoon. If you did end up with that black residue, you’ll still be able to clean it off!

Scrape or Pour the Excess

If you have a lot of melted wax in your spoon, you can do one of two things: scrape it out or pour it out. I simply poured the excess wax on a scrap piece of paper until it was as empty as possible. However, you can use the tip of a teaspoon to scrape out the excess. It will harden on the tip of the spoon, which should pop right off without a problem later.

Wipe the Spoon

Then, while the wax is still hot, ball up a bit of paper towel and firmly wipe away the inside. Be careful not to bump the metal with your skin, as it will be hot. Wipe away the outside of the spoon as well, getting any remaining wax. You can hold the spoon over the flame again to make sure your wax is liquidy enough to get it all. That ought to clean your wax seal spoon quite effectively!

Fabulous. Product is exactly as portrayed. I love the colors, it's very easy to use and maintain, and it's quite fun! Only small criticism is I wish the spoon was a bit bigger so I can fill it more with wax. But I can always just buy a bigger spoon. It's big enough for most seals. Highly recommend!
