It would have been nice to have thought to get one of these earlier. I got it because I have a cavity back there and I was hoping to apply a special toothpaste and (I hope) prevent my cavity from getting worse. It makes that easy. It has also proved useful for getting food that’s gotten stuck back there off, and just in general for brushing the back sides of my molars when I brush the rest of my teeth. It seems fairly durable. I like the bristle stiffness—stiff enough to brush well but not stiff enough to irritate my gums. The handle is hard plastic and I suspect will hold up long after the bristles are worn down, especially since I am hard on toothbrush bristles in general.
