They work great for squaring up something you are building especially if you are working alone. They are all nice quality, and true square as far as I could tell. I do wish that they would make them standard dimensions so you could use them as spacer blocks as well, but they aren't advertised to do that, so I can't knock them for it. One thing I will say is that the first review that popped up when I looked at these said the clamping mechanism worked great. They had a whole paragraph on it. There is no clamping mechanism on these. You have to use your own clamps.
