Found these which were relatively cheap and was shocked at the excellent sound quality. Clear and just enough base. They also are very good fit as the buds have a suction kind of a feel that blocks out exterior noise out well. The buds themselves are encased in a heavy metal case which does give a bit of heft to them but does not sacrifice comfort. The only minor gripe is the cord themselves. The cord looks durable with what appears to be intertwined rubber. The problem is the wires kind of stay up a bit rather than falling flat. Other than that, these are perfect for portable clip on players. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars I was scared to buy this one with all the bad reviews *by F***T on Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2019* But it turns out to be love at first sight. I bought a more expensive one thinking that it would be better but I was wrong. This earbuds has the right length and is well made compared to a $20 earbuds listed below. The cable is reinforced and there are rubber boots where the wires connected to the earbuds. This should reduce cable breakage at this point. The $20 earbuds cables are all dried out because it's just cheap plastic with no reinforcement. I disagree with the other reviewers at this point. It this doesn't hold up, I'll come back and cut it down. It works really well for that use case (which is pretty much the same as any audio device that attaches on or near the head).The materials seem pretty decent. The buds themselves are metal (I'm guessing probably zinc or aluminum) and they feel reasonably heavy and solid. The wire jacket is rubbery, and feels sturdy with nice strain reliefs at most attachment points on the cord.No serious complaints. The earbuds are a bit fiddly to place in my ears so they seal properly and don't come out, but it's not terrible. Routing the wires behind my ears helps. Sound is okay -- totally appropriate quality for the price.A couple things I've noticed: These have a characteristic I've encountered a few times in the many earbuds I've had over the years; it's not a dealbreaker but it's a little annoying. As you're fitting the earbuds, the diaphrams crackle really loudly as the air pressure in your ears moves them. Most earbuds I've used don't do this, and the noise makes these a little uncomfortable to insert, especially to get them seated securely.Also, the rubbery wire jacket is very springy, and the bends in the wire don't look like they'll ever relax on their own. I spent a few minutes with a heat gun to sort this out; now the wires are relaxed and straight.
