No roots shall pass!!Used on two projects1. I have in ground raised bed 3 ft from fence where ivy was growing. The roots completely invaded the raised bed even through couple layers of garden cloth. I dug trench 34 in deep from top of the bed to block any roots2. I have small above ground raised bed that had weed blocker cloth underneath but the roots made a holes and got through the cloth. Just plan ahead! *by J***N on July 31, 2022* I got this barrier several months ago right before the spring/summer seasons. I have a large bamboo grove right behind my yard. I have lived at this house for about 2 years now and every season prior, I was fighting off the bamboo from creeping into my backyard. It was a constant DAILY battle to chop and dig it all up. The species has the very fast growing underground "runners" for roots so it spreads very quickly. I surrounded my entire backyard in the barrier (roughly 225 feet) and it has held strong the entire time through the spring and summer growth season. No sign of bamboo growth in the backyard. I did have a slight oversight... My back yard is a giant hill and the barrier is set at the bottom. The water drainage of my yard has been an issue because I essentially blocked all water flow underground.. I will more than likely have to install a sump pump to be able for my yard to drain and stay dry properly. the barrier works great!
