Why will this not work for my manual 4.0?** A: This unit just working for wrangler 1991-2003 with 4.0L. **Q: Is tuning required?** A: I installed this on my 97’ Jeep Cherokee xj with the 6 cylinder 4.0 motor. There was no tuning or adjustments needed. The only thing I did which i don’t think is required was I disconnected my battery before I started the project. So it was disconnected for 20-30 minutes. Other than that I just installed it and hooked the battery up. It started right up and I noticed a better throttle response and more power from take off to higher speeds. **Q: Will this work on a 1993 jeep cherokee sport with a 4.0? The description is contradicting** A: It will work on any 4.0 with the three cable throttle system.
