I am a teacher, who uses pens a lot but really likes to erase things when necessary. These do the job. I've only met one paper type that they did not work great on, and that was just the erasing part. Once you erased on this paper type, it was very hard to write in the same spot. Which, isn't the end of the world, and like I said happened only once. I prefer a slightly thicker pen and this does the job for me. I compare the thickness to the thicker mechanical pencils if you are familiar with them. There are cheaper options out there, I've tried them, because I am cheap, but they all left me unhappy. These are unmatched and comparatively for what you get, a great deal. You can even purchase ink refills for these.
