They are the perfect size for my son. I can fill them up with cereal, carrots, or other snacks and he can carry it to his table and eat. They are also lightweight and great to pack with other items when we are on the go and plan to eat out. If you want something microwaveable, then these are not your bowls. I wouldn't microwave my son's food in plastic or other non-ceramic or glass bowls anyway for fear of toxins leaching into the good. (The product info states that they are not microwave safe.) But, they are dishwasher safe. We keep them on the top rack of the dishwasher just to be careful. I've read other reviews that say they break when dropped. We haven't had this issue so far, but one has a very small chip on the rim from being dropped. I like that they are biodegradable. Manufacturing does include food grade melamine, but I read up on this and it did not concern me. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A safe, unbreakable alternative to plastic *by J***. on Reviewed in the United States on June 28, 2018* Love these, and feel good about serving my kids' food on them!
