I use it almost everyday outside, and while it has discolored (faded), the grip and bounce remain good. I would buy it again. **Q: Does it really works outdoor?** A: Yes, but with that said any outdoor ball used on a rougher surface will get best up more. **Q: Is it leather?** A: No. Leather isn't good for outdoor play. It's a synthetic compound (not rubber) and it feels quality. It is wearing fast (I play almost every day) and getting discolored, but I love the feel and bounce. Highly recomend for outdoor use, and it would be great for indoor as well. **Q: Is it normal for my new basketball to noticeably deflate using it the first day?** A: I notice with the pressure and climate it tends to deflate a little.
