JDM Black Wave Koi Fish Cherry Blossom Sakura Shift Boot Cover Universal at/MT

The shift boot looks good, however I one major thing I saw was it didn’t specify what cars it does/doesn’t fit. It fit in my ‘96 Miata but I did have to modify it a bit because Miata’s have set screws that hold the boot into place. I had to screw through the boot to get the faceplate to hold onto it, as well as the inside doesn’t exactly have any form of heat protection (what should I have expected it was $25) so I just slipped it over my old one to prevent too much heat from the transmission from melting the new one. I will say though, it looks great and I don’t regret getting it.

Really cool shift boot it paired nicely with my shift knob I ordered .they sell the unit as a shift boot COVER .it’s supposed to go over your old shift boot but I thought that would’ve looked a little wonky.I decided to do a little DIY and ordered a “dewhel shift knob boot adapter”and was able to take the adapter that came with the shift boot and use the dewhel one I ordered so it can screw onto my shifter and not just sit on it.I ended up taking off my old shift boot and had to use e6000 glue to get this one to sit properly like the oem one but all in all after a little DIY it turned out awesome…List of parts you’ll need to make it a ACTUAL SHIFT BOOTDewhel shift boot retainer/adapter (they sell these in different sizes depending on your vehicle for example mine was 12x1.25 you can always search up your size for your car)E6000 glue to hold it in place (I guess this stuffs really strong and toxic but I’m sure other things will work if you’re not good with glue)Be careful and make sure you’re able to go into every gear evenly before glueingCheers!
