I had been in the headphone game for a while, but had been going off an internal sound card (which I loved, but wanted to upgrade). I wanted to get a cheaper DAC, since I would be upgrading that relatively soon, but didn't want to skimp on an amp. I went with the SMSL M100, which is a very respectable DAC for it's price, but still had to decide on a headphone amp. What finally sold me on the A30 was the dual outputs. You can use 1/8" (3.5mm) or 1/4" (6.35mm) jacks, and it has the power switch on the front. These are both HUGE features for me, and why I chose it over options from the likes of Shiit, etc.The build quality of the A30 is somewhat raw, and not quite refined, but not in a bad way. The finish is nice, giving it a brushed aluminum look, but it has a bit of a rugged feeling. It's definitely made with high quality materials, as the volume pot will tell you immediately. It's smooth, centered perfectly, and has no play, which is a beautiful thing. Furthermore, the blue accent ring is lovely, and is just enough to make it have some flair, while not being so bright as to be distracting, even in a dark setting. The switches feel very tactile and satisfying, and it's very nice to have a dedicated fixed dB jump option. It offers a LOT of versatility in volume control, and this thing will get your headphones LOUD. Which is great, if you're into that kind of thing.As for sound? This amp is exactly what you need in an amp. It sounds like nothing. No hiss, even at full dB boost with the pot at max. NOTHING. The proprietary power connector they use must be doing it's job, because the channels are properly grounded and isolated, and I couldn't ask for more.As I mentioned, this amp will get your cans loud. It can easily handle high impedance or low sensitivity cans, and does a great job at it. I use it for everything from monitors to IEMs to planars, and it offers enough customization to handle it all.Last, but certainly not least, this amp has RCA pass through, which is great for me. I have it patched to my Topping PA3 powering some near field speakers, and it's perfect.In short words, this amp offers good, clean sound in a rugged package with all the features you need, all for a bit over $100. It's at least something to consider if you're in the market for a headphone amp, and I have no plans to upgrade it until I choose to go fully balanced. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Decent bluetooth amp *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2017* Went looking for a compact, inexpensive bluetooth amp to drive a modest pair of Polk bookshelf speakers, formerly plugged into  Dayton Audio DTA-1 Class T Digital AC/DC Amplifier  and using  TaoTronics Bluetooth Receiver  for Bluetooth.That setup had too many buttons and stuff so first I bought  this Fosi Audio amp (With Bluetooth)  and while that was a decent amp, actually a very nice amp of good quality, the Bluetooth feature didn't work the way I liked.This amp works exactly as I like... namely, turning on the power to the amp powers on the Bluetooth, which automatically pairs with my phone. Turning off the main power disconnects the Bluetooth from my phone. Simple and easy. The sound quality is more than decent, the volume knob doesn't make any noise (a problem with my old cheap-o Dayton class T).But there's downsides: Overall build quality isn't super... in particular, the port where you screw in the antenna is super wobbly. Also: The "Bluetooth connected" indicator light flashes constantly when you're connected... why? It's distracting and should have been solid when paired, that's the normal pattern.So basically the amp is acceptable despite the few flaws... There's a real glut of interesting amplifiers of various capabilities and class D amp design on Amazon right now... Lots of near-copies and weird innovations that China really excels at these days. They always come with the most hilarious English translation manuals! It's a fun time to setup your audio gear, lots of different configurations are possible.(Note that I haven't tried the headphone out or line in on this amp so I can't review those.) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Killer little amp! *by C***. on Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2017* I'll start by saying I'm not a true audiophile. My previous equipment has been second hand with not much in the way of tuneups or upgrades. Love music but have never gone big on equipment or geeked out on systems.All that said, this little amp far exceeds what I think anyone has a right to expect from an $80 piece with Bluetooth connectivity.I run it off my phone via BT and a Fluance RT81 turntable I bought to try and get a mid-fi system up and running for cheap. Already owned a pair of Mourdant-Short bookshelf speakers that were the only previously new gear I owned. They never really impressed me before. I was running an old 70's Technics amp off CL that I had serviced at a local shop, but this little amp blows it away using regular Pandora. With the new RT81, the vinyl that used to sound muddy and soft through the Technics is now clear and detailed. Tight bass.You might chalk this up to a modern preamp and factory mounted cart on the Fluance, but I swear the Bluetooth sounds better than the RCA connection I used to run to the Technics. Only drawback I can see is a little lack of power. If I really wanted to push these speakers I'd want something with more juice. In my main front room, however, it pumps out enough to keep the wife and kids rocking. If I wanted to knock the kids' teeth out, I'd look for something with 50 WPC or more at 8Ω. All told, I have all I need for now.Listening to JJ Cale on vinyl right now. Sounds great. Haven't tried it as a headphone amp, but not the least bit worried about it.
